Disney Hotel Lady

Unlocking the magic of Disneyland, one hotel at a time.

Capri Suites Anaheim

Capri Suites is a 4-story all-suite hotel just over a mile from Disneyland down Harbor. There’s a convenience store in the parking lot of the hotel next door, so just a few steps to all manner of snacks and drinks.

There is a covered pool and hot tub patio. Pets are welcome here, so there’s a little pet relief area just around the corner from the pool.

A continental breakfast is offered, along with waffles. Just approach the little window shown in the video and a nice lady will make one for you. (Remember what “continental” means – no hot breakfast.)

You do need a room key to access the elevator, but I’m not sure that made me feel it was safe enough to recommend to solo travelers. It is an “open air” hotel and anyone could climb the stairs. The elevator is kind of hidden behind a column off the parking lot. Not to say we felt unsafe. Just not a special recommendation to solo travelers.

Take a look at these pics!

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The only weird thing was the mattress and pillows were covered with protectors. So it felt like we were sleeping on a 6-year-old’s bed.

The barn door to separate the bedroom from the sitting area would NOT stay closed. We had to keep rigging up some sort of way to stop it from sliding open, usually involving our shoes.

The bathroom was huge. Lots of space with the shower and toilet. So the sink area felt smaller since it was in the bedroom.

I felt this hotel especially catered to the Spanish-speaking community. I’m sure plenty – if not all – of the other hotels I’ve stayed at could too. It was just more obvious here. (See “Welcome” letter pics.)
