Disney Hotel Lady

Unlocking the magic of Disneyland, one hotel at a time.

Alamo Inn & Suites

This adorable little budget hotel is tucked away on Katella. It’s courtyard style set up makes it feel secluded and quiet, your own personal fairytale outside the hustle and bustle of the Disneyland Parks. The amenities are a little lite, but if you favor calm, this is definitely the place for you!

There’s a small office to check in. There’s ice and vending machines, of course. There is a pool and hot tub – a covered hot tub so you can soak those tired feet rain or shine!

There is one washer and one dryer. These “laundry” amenities are located in the open, right next to the pool. Their location made us hesitant to use them, as it was obvious they had been there awhile and who knows how the elements may have affected their use.

The parking lot is in the courtyard, surround by the vegetation-covered buildings.

The room was small but clean. The finishes were modern enough, but I struggled to find one USB port in this room. If you are looking for a device-free or device-lite vacation, this could be a plus for you. Otherwise, you are definitely going to need some wall chargers and maybe even expansion ports and extension cords.

The fridge and microwave were unplugged when we entered the room, so we had to let them “warm up” (or “cool down”) before using them. Bear that in mind especially if you are bringing refrigerated items. They’ll have to last a little bit longer in whatever container you bring them in, until your fridge reaches temp.

It’s located about a quarter of a mile south of the newly reimagined Pixar Place Hotel. Theoretically, then, you can walk to Disneyland by going up Disneyland Drive and through Downtown Disney. This should take 15-20 minutes or so.

All in all, we had a very pleasant and peaceful stay here. Something tells me a lot of repeat customers will not be too happy with me revealing this little gem to you. So despite some anticipated backlash, we encourage you to visit Alamo Inn on your next Disneyland trip.
