Unlocking the magic of Disneyland, one hotel at a time.

Across the Street: Your Guide to Disneyland’s closest Hotels

Welcome to your guide on Disneyland’s neighboring hotels, specifically those “across the street.” I’m Stacey, your Disney Hotel Lady, here to help you navigate those options. With a multitude of choices and many people pushing the idea to stay within walking distance, identifying the right hotel can make or break your vacation. That’s why I’m highlighting key considerations, including hotel names, amenities, and unique offerings.

Be Mindful of Hotel Names

Firstly, it’s crucial to verify the exact name of your desired hotel. Many properties have similar names, and some brands boast multiple locations in the Disneyland vicinity. For instance, ‘Courtyard’ and ‘Fairfield’ are common brands, so ensure you’re booking the right one.

Understanding Location

The hotels we’re considering lie between the I-5 freeway and Katella Avenue on Harbor Boulevard, making them incredibly close to Disneyland—just a ten-minute walk or less!

  1. Grand Legacy at the Park
  2. Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn
  3. Anaheim Desert Inn
  4. del Sol
  5. Park Vue Inn
  6. Camelot Inn
  7. Courtyard
  8. Howard Johnson
  9. Candy Cane Inn

Key Comparison Criteria

When comparing these hotels, these are the five factors we will consider: breakfast, parking fees, bunk beds, suites, and kitchen amenities. Let’s delve deeper into each category:

  • Breakfast Offerings:
    • Only four hotels include breakfast. Candy Cane Inn, the two Best Western Properties (Park Place Inn and Anaheim Inn), and Anaheim Desert Inn. The breadth and type of breakfast offerings can vary from limited grab-and-go options to larger spreads.
  • Parking Fees:
    • Parking can be a significant expense. While the Courtyard charges $40 per night, several hotels offer more economical parking. Castle Inn, Candy Cane Inn, and Park Vue Inn are the only properties to offer complimentary parking, which could save you money.
  • Bunk Beds for Families:
    • Families seeking bunk beds have a few options. The Anaheim Hotel, del Sol, and Park Vue Inn offer bunk beds as part of certain suite types. Notably, Courtyard offers bunk beds in almost every room type, making it ideal for families.
  • Selecting the Right Suite:
    • If a suite is on your wish list, it’s vital to know what different hotels offer. Some properties label oversized rooms or connecting areas as “suites,” while others, like Tropicana, provide actual separate rooms with additional bathrooms.
  • Kitchen Features:
    • Kitchen facilities are pretty standard. All hotels offer a mini-fridge, and most include a microwave. Tropicana goes further by providing actual kitchenettes in its suites, which could be a big advantage for families planning to cook.

Final Thoughts

Choosing one of these hotels means prioritizing location. The nearby properties offer standard features like pools, but inclusion of breakfast, parking, and kitchen facilities can significantly vary. Remember, this guide reflects the situation as of April 2025; always verify with the hotel directly to ensure you have the most current information. Enjoy your stay and magical Disney adventure!

We had a microwave also in our room at the Candy Cane Inn. My husband brought the coffee from breakfast back to room and heated it up. He likes it really hot🤪

Thank you for that info, Amy! Do you happen to know what room type you stayed in? It seems at Candy Cane only certain room types have microwaves & I wasn’t sure exactly which rooms. I will have to verify when I stay there next month!
